- For less than the difference in price between external and internal, you can get
- Ted Johannson's really cool and eminently useful MODEMSTA version 1.8 that
- not only gives you all the flashing lights, but also logs your session and gives
- TD/RD speeds. For the cheapskates out there <g> Ted has just released a
- FREEWARE version of Modemsta called "ModemSta Lite" with th elights but
- fewer advanced features. A must-have IMNSO.

- If you run WFWG or higher and have a couple of old or cheap net cards
- around, you can SHARE a modem between any number of users. Talk about
- economy! And no yanking cables.

- Most machines have sufficient slots these days, but you comment can apply to
- the older ones. And BTW, a lot of the older ones DO NOT have high speed
- UARTS meaning more $$$ you have to spend on an I/O card.
